Open to Rin [August 27th 2006|10.32am]

WHO: Corinna and Walden
WHAT: Discussions.
WHERE: Blackwell Manor, his room
WHEN: A rainy afternoon.

Walden scowled at his wall, the book he was trying to read ignored. It seemed as of late that a scowl was the only expression he wore. He didn't like the Lestranges, not one bit, and the younger one just seemed keen on being as annoyingly cocky as humanly possible. With him, his exceedingly arrogant older brother and his devastatingly cold sister-in-law all under the roof of Blackwell Manor, it was no small wonder that Walden had been able to control his legendary temper.

It was survived, mainly, by staying in his room and the knowledge that he had a person to serve: Corinna. He was doing his best to make damned sure she wasn't hurt in this political game of power. He hadn't seen hide nor hair of her this morning, though - not since breakfast. Scowl deepening, he closed his book and put it on his desk, intent on finding his cousin.

Open to Rabastan - Blackwell Manor - Library [August 26th 2006|11.00am]

Rinna was not happy, and everyone in the house and a few people outside of it knew it. She was marrying...Rabastan! They didn't love each other. Actually, she was quite convince he hated her! Why couldn't everything just stay the way it was? Why couldn't she go back to when she was younger and the only men she had to deal with were her father and her cousin; men who loved her. There was a knock on the door of the library. She groaned as she pulled herself up off of the couch and opened the door. She wasn't exactly happy to see who it was.

Who: Andi, Riley, and Sybil (Bella and Narcissa are welcome too)
When: BACKDATED -Monday afternoon
What: Trying on bride's maid's dresses.

Andromeda stood in the living room of her house waiting for her friends to arrive. She tapped her feet nervously. Each part of the wedding planning brought her closer to her wedding day, and made her more and more scared. She didn't want to disappoint her family, or even worse be disowned, but she also didn't want to spend the rest of her life with someone that she didn't love.

[ mood | flirty ]

Who: The Lestranges (Bellatrix, Rodolphus, Rabastan)
When: BACKDATED - a few days after the Knockturn Alley thread
What: "Your brother needs to get married."
Warnings: SMUT! ((Fer goodness's sake, it's Bellatrix... and her husband. Did you expect anything else?))

Starts out as just Bella/Rodo.

Bellatrix was reclined on the small sofa in her bedroom, contentedly reading a letter from her Mother about the planning of Andromeda's wedding. It was about time that her younger sister got wed, she thought with a satisfactory smile. She was a bit worried there - the girl was so odd, sometimes. Narcissa, after all, was already engaged and Bella herself had been married for almost three years already.

As she finished up the letter and began rolling up the parchment, a chime sounded, letting her know that her husband had finally arrived home. And finally. Knowing that he would be wanting to find her, she stood up and put the letter in her desk and then moved to sit at her vanity, beginning to brush out her silky black hair.

Who: Elle and Remus
Where: Um. Not really sure but it starts in Flourish and Blotts.

Elle, having finally finished her work for the day, went to the back to hang up her work apron. She then hurried to the bathroom and tried desperately to smooth down her hair. Richard had insisted, as always, that she had worked down to the last possible second in her shift. She took one last nervous glance in the mirror, reminding herself, for about the hundredth time, that this was not a date, and hoping that she hadn't kept him waiting.

Engaging Engagements [July 21st 2006|1.18pm]

Who: Bellatrix and Corinna and their respective accompanying family
Where: Blackwell Manor
When: dinnertime

Bellatrix raised a perfectly arched eyebrow at her husband across from her in the carriage that was taking them up the driveway at Blackwell Manor. "If you'll recall, it wasn't long ago ourselves that we sat at a dinner table with our parents as our engagement was decided. It was only the end of our seventh year... three years ago, darling." She flipped a strand of her silken black hair over her shoulder. "So, you'll deal with it tonight and help me, as this is your family we're talking about."

In her mind, the discussion was done so when the carriage stopped she waited for the footman to get the door and descended in front of the doors of Blackwell Manor, impeccably clad in silken robes of the deepest scarlet. Knocking on the door, she awaited to be let in. She couldn't wait for tonight!

Who: Elle and Anyone
Where: Flourish and Blotts

Elle picked up a few of the books she was supposed to be shelving at Flourish and Blotts. She had gotten the job assuming that she wouldn't spend any of her earnings there, and, so far, she had been right. Unfortunately, it seemed as if it was a job for much taller people than Elle. It's just my luck that I, the shortest employee, also have to be the one to shelf the books on the highest shelves, she thought, standing up on her tip-toes, even though she was standing on the small stool. Just as Wise Warlocks of the Sixteenth Century slipped into place, Elle lost her balance and tumbled off the stood, landing flat on her back, with a slight "oof". Her cheeks turned a terrible shade of pink as she realized that someone was looking down at her.

Who: Riley and Sirius
Where: Their apartment.

WARNING! More than likely, the rating will be high on this.

Riley sighed as she set her purse and a bag of groceries on the kitchen counter. She looked around the living room as she entered, to see if her roommate was around. She shrugged and started heading towards her bedroom to change, pulling her hair out of its ponytail as she walked, when she was practically tackled to the ground by a laughing Sirius Black. She let out a small shriek before realizing who it was, then glared at him. "JERK!"

Who: Rinna and Rabastan
Where: The Three Broomsticks

Rinna sighed and took a sip of her gin and tonic. She never thought she'd be in this place again. It was too close to the school she hated. But she needed to escape from the house and drink on her own for once, and the Leaky Cauldron was always too crowded. And the Hog's Head...she wouldn't set foot in that place if she was paid. So the Three Broomsticks it was. She looked up as she heard the bells ringing, signifying another customer. She wasn't exactly pleased, however, when she realized who it was.

OTA number three. This community has STARTED after all. People should be interacting. XD [June 13th 2006|3.51pm]

[ mood | contemplative ]

Who: Remus and anyone.
Where: The Leaky Cauldron. About time for some dinner.

Remus brushed his unruly hair out of his face. He really needed a hair cut. He smiled at the pretty waitress who had taken his order and couldn't help but feel guilty as the carnal part of him took the gentleman and made him take a look at her very very nice...erm...assets as she left. He smirked to himself as he stirred his drink with his straw. It had been a while since he'd seen his friends, he thought. He knew Sirius and Riley were busy getting settled in to there new home, and James and Lily obviously were going to be spending more time together now, but he couldn't help but feel a little lonely. He shook his head and took a sip of his drink as he noticed a familiar face in the crowd. One that smiled and started over to him.

OTA. I'm seeing a pattern here. XD [June 13th 2006|3.38pm]

[ mood | guilty ]

Who: Corinna and whoever dares to talk to her.
Where: Knockturn Alley. But don't tell her parents! She musn't be caught there.

Pulling her cloak tight around her and making sure her hood properly hid her face, Corinna glanced around anxiously before walking forward into Knockturn Alley. There was a certain book that would make an excellent addition into her collection, but her parents could never know she was here. It was important for her father's job that the family seemed firmly against the dark arts in any shape or form, and if someone were to recognize her here and tell Anthony, she'd never be allowed out again. Until they married her off to the son of some powerful family. She almost shuddered at the thought. She had almost reached the bookshop when, as lost in her thoughts as she was, she walked right into someone. "Oh, dear, I'm terribly sorry," she said apologetically before realizing her hood had been knocked off in the collision. She hastily pulled it back over her head, biting her lip.

OTA [June 13th 2006|3.06pm]

[ mood | crappy ]

Where: Muggle London
Who: Riley, and anyone
What: Job hunting, shopping, and all that jazz.

Riley walked quickly down the street. This was the worst day ever. It was raining, her favorite coffee shop was closed for renovations, and, to top it all off she had been turned down from the third job she'd applied for since school let out. She ducked into a little cafe-type restaurant to get out of the rain. It wasn't her shop, but it'd have to do. She bought herself a small cup of coffee, a muffin and a newspaper and sat down at a table near the window, opening up the paper to the classified section. A section she'd become rather familiar with in the last few weeks. Why hadn't she just kept her job at the Three Broomsticks? She sighed. It was too far away from her apartment with Siri, but it would have been steady pay. Her eyes flicked down the page. Secretary? No. She hated offices. Nanny? Gods no. Kids. Just...no. She sighed and pushed the newspaper aside. She wished she had paid more attention during school. Maybe if she had, she'd be qualified to do something. She took a nibble at her muffin and a sip of coffee, taking out a crumbled shopping list. She'd have to take care of this while she was out. Milk, eggs, orange juice, bread, just the basics. Well, except for the last bit that she assumed Sirius had scribbled at the bottom. She laughed and shook her head as she read the addition of steak to her list. She'd buy it if she could afford it. And even cook it for him. She may not be a world class chef, but she could certainly grill. It couldn't be that hard. After all, he put up with her. He should have some sort of treat. She snapped out of her reverie as she heard the chair across from her scoot out and someone sit down in it.

((Mmkay, I'm bored with the GCR post, so here's a new Gryffie post.))

Who: Riley and Sirius. And any other Gryffies, I guess.
Where: Gryffindor Common Room

Riley was laying on the area rug in front of the fire trying to study. Exams were less than a month away, and Potions was threatening to give her a slow and painful death. Powdered root of asphodel... she thought as she tried to read through the most tedious book ever written. She sighed and closed the book in dismay before rolling over onto her back and staring at the ceiling.

((Hello all! This is Morgan, mod-extraordinaire ::bows::. Carol (my co-mod) and I were talking last night and we decided that we should have a General Common Room post for everyone to reply to. This is just so we can get used to RPing with each other. Everyone can add in once they've been accepted, and this thread will continue until the game actually starts. Now, start replying like good little children. ^_^))

Riley made her way into the General Common Room. She glanced around and saw several other people working on homework and the like, but there was no one she knew very well. She sighed, sat down on the sofa and pulled a bottle of butterbeer from her bag. As she uncorked the bottle, she began observing people; one of her favorite activies. At least when she was bored. There were some 5th year Puffs across the room who were obviously in a tither over OWLs. Then there was a lonely Claw in the corner reading some text that didn't look like it was in English. And of course, there were some lovely Snakes lurking not too far from her, plotting something that was, no doubt, something Riley wanted to avoid being a part of. She snapped out of her reverie when someone came and sat down beside her. She smiled when she saw who it was.
